This RFQ seeks to commission up to 6 Western Sydney or Sydney based artists with engaging, two-dimensional art and design concepts that will enliven our City Centres.
The prospective submissions will contribute to a diverse collection of public artworks for hoardings, across mediums such as visual art, graphic design, and photography. These works should celebrate the unique character of the Penrith Local Government Area, highlighting its landmarks, natural environment, cultural richness, and diversity.
All submissions must be made through Marketplace and provide:
- A two-dimensional, printable design or art concept proposal as an illustration, mock-up or drawing.
- Files should be PDF or JPEG and under 5MB in size.
- Artist CV
- Statement (max 250 words) describing the design or art concept
- Examples of previous work or a link to an online portfolio
- Contact Details (full name, contact number, email address, address, ABN)
- Copy of Certificate of Currency - Public Liability Insurance (PLI)
You can submit up to two concept proposals for the Creative Hoardings Program. Each concept proposal will need to be submitted under one application.
Council will select and shortlist up to 6 concept proposals who will receive $1,500 (excluding GST) development fee to refine concept proposals. Each artist will have 3 weeks from selection notification to provide finalised artwork for Council’s approval. Once artwork has been finalised and approved by Council, the selected candidates will receive a commission of $4,500 (excluding GST) for the licensing of their artwork on five hoardings.
