Design and Construct Chemical Delivery Bunds

This Request for Quotation (RFQ) seeks proposals from qualified and experienced contractors for the design and construction of new concrete bulk chemical tanker delivery bunds at the Mulwala and Howlong Water Treatment Plants. The purpose of this infrastructure is to ensure the safe and environmentally compliant delivery of bulk chemicals used in the water treatment process.

The successful respondent will be awarded a contract (via a Purchase Order) for a fixed lump sum. Contractors must demonstrate their capability, relevant experience, and commitment to WHS regulations and local community benefit as detailed in the assessment criteria (Section 2)

The Contractor shall be responsible for the design, supply, construction and commissioning of concrete chemical delivery bunds at the Mulwala and Howlong Water Treatment Plants (WTP). The design and construction must comply with all relevant Australian Standards, legislation and industry best practices relating to the storage and handling of the nominated chemicals.

The Mulwala WTP requires a bund that is suitable for tanker deliveries of Aluminium Sulphate & Sodium Hypochlorite. The delivery tankers are approx 19m long and have a gross weight of 40t.
