Burketown Airport - Replacement Bus Service

Burke Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the supply of bus or coach transport services between Burketown Airport and Doomadgee Airport during the runway shutdown period of the Burketown Airport Runway Reconstruction & Remediation Works.

The runway shutdown period will start on mid/late April 2026 and extends to the 1st October 2026. The service will transport passengers between Burketown and Doomadgee Airport. The embarkment and disembarkment locations are:

• Burketown - outside of the Nijinda Durlga Council Hall on Sloman Street

• Doomadgee - Doomadgee Airport on Friday Street
