Panel Arrangement for the Provision of Legal Services for the Insurance Commission of Western Australia

Proposals are sought for the provision of legal services to the Insurance Commission.

The provision of legal services is essential for the Insurance Commission to undertake its operations. Most of these legal services relate to Claims Related Services and include providing advice, negotiating of claims and defending actions through litigation.

A relatively small portion of the Insurance Commission’s legal services relate to Non-Claim Related Services. These services include providing advice on non-claim related matters such as investment matters, property law, commercial law, tort law, employment law, intellectual property, freedom of information, insurance law and civil litigation.

The expected outcome of this procurement is for the Insurance Commission to establish a panel of suitably qualified legal practitioners who are able to provide value for money legal services.

The Insurance Commission requires legal services for both insurance claim and non-claim related matters.
