Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The objective of this engagement is to receive independent Strategic ICT Advisory and Architecture Services to support the Department in 3 key priority areas:

  1. Transition of selected ICT functions and services from existing managed service arrangement with Services Australia, back in house.
  2. Development of a 3-year ICT Technology and architecture roadmap (with expected greater detail on the 12–18month transition period).
  3. Emerging technology consideration and recommendations (must include artificial intelligence, robotics and automation and cloud adoption and integration at a minimum).

DSS requires Strategic ICT Advisory and Architecture Services to support the transition of the initial agreed tranche of IT functions and services returning to DSS from Services Australia and a high-level technology and architecture roadmap for the department. This requires the engagement with an experienced Strategic ICT and Architecture Services advisory vendor with experience with engagements of this manner as well as capabilities regarding the future technology landscape, dependencies, constraints, risks and viable options for future state architecture.

The first tranche of selected functions and services include (but may not be limited to):

  • SAP ERP solutions team and SAP system/software,
  • Website developers,
  • IT service desk (Tier 1/1.5 and VIP support including assistive technology and mobile phone management) and
  • Assets and logistics.

The outputs from this engagement will assist in informing key strategic, tactical, operational and investment decisions regarding DSS’s future Enterprise ICT, including ensuring a fit for purpose function of services brought in house, a strategic forward plan and supporting prioritisation, rationalisation and funding to harness systems, data and technology to ensure an effective and efficient future ICT state to enable and accelerate DSS and staff in achieving outcomes.
