Expressions of Interest Independent Member Audit Panel

Glenorchy City Council is seeking expressions of interest for the role of an Independent Member of its Audit Panel.

The Audit Panel is established under section 85(1) of the Local Government Act 1993 (Tas), and its objective is to review Council’s performance under section 85A of the Local Government Act 1993 (Tas) and report its conclusions and recommendations to Council.

The Audit Panel consists of five members. This is comprised of two Elected members and three Independent Members, in accordance with the Audit Panel Charter of Glenorchy City Council. The members of the Audit Panel are appointed by Council.

A member of the Audit Panel will hold office for a period of four (4) years and will be engaged by an instrument of appointment.
