Tender Description
This panel will support the delivery of safe, reliable and value-for-money services to Council facilities, infrastructure and community assets, while strengthening engagement with local and regional suppliers.
This Expression of Interest is undertaken in accordance with Council’s Procurement Policy 2025 and Procurement Procedures 2025 and is intended to establish a compliant contractor panel to support future procurement activities.
What are Fire Services?
Fire services include, but are not limited to:
- Electrical test and tag services
- Supply, inspection and servicing of fire extinguishers
- Supply and servicing of fire blankets
- Smoke alarm installation, testing and replacement
- Emergency and exit lighting inspections and testing
- Fire alarm and fire panel inspection and maintenance (where certified)
- Fire safety compliance checks for buildings
- AS 1851 routine servicing (where accredited)
- Evacuation diagrams and fire safety signage
Mandatory Requirements
Contractors must demonstrate compliance with the following:
- Current Public Liability Insurance (minimum $20 million).
- Current Workers Compensation Insurance (unless sole trader – then provide copy of Personal Accident Insurance).
- Relevant licences, registrations and fire safety accreditations applicable to the services offered.
- WHS compliance, including Safe Work Method Statements where applicable.
- Police checks where services involve access to sensitive sites or vulnerable persons.
- Not subject to any regulatory banning or enforcement orders relevant to fire services.
- Compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW).
Additional Conditions
- Contractors must agree to the terms of Council’s Contractor Agreement
- Applicants must complete the Pricing Schedule included in the EOI documentation
- Pricing submitted will be used for procurement reference purposes only
- The panel will be reviewed periodically over the panel term to ensure compliance, performance and ongoing suitability
Important Notice
Inclusion on this panel does not guarantee the allocation of work. Council may engage panel members at its discretion based on operational requirements, availability, capability, compliance, and value for money.
The panel provides a streamlined and compliant process for sourcing contractors when required.
Any engagement of panel members will be undertaken through subsequent procurement processes in accordance with Council’s Procurement Procedures and Delegations of Authority.
