Depot Asbestos Remediation and Building Refurbishment

Uralla Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and licensed contractors to undertake asbestos remediation and associated building refurbishment works at the Uralla Shire Council Depot, located at 11 Depot Road, Uralla NSW.

The works include the identification, removal and lawful disposal of asbestos-containing materials across multiple buildings at the depot, followed by reinstatement and refurbishment of affected areas to achieve a safe, compliant and operational environment.

The scope of works includes, but is not limited to:

• Removal of identified asbestos-containing materials from internal and external building elements
• Reinstatement of external cladding and eaves using compliant non-asbestos materials
• Internal refurbishment of offices, ranger room, lunchroom and amenities following asbestos removal
• Upgrade of amenities to provide compliant male, female and accessible facilities
• Associated electrical, plumbing and building works required to support reinstatement and compliance

A mandatory site inspection will be held on 21st January 2026. Attendance is required for a tender submission to be considered conforming.

This procurement is being conducted as an open Request for Tender in accordance with Council Procurement Policy and Procedures. The proposed form of contract is AS 4000 1997 General Conditions of Contract (Construct Only).

Tenderers must hold all relevant licences, insurances and accreditations required to undertake asbestos removal and building works in New South Wales.
