Coastal Trading Licencing System Replacement Project Manager
Tender ID: 603252
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Department is embarking on a project to develop a modernised Coastal Trading Licencing System (CTLS) that delivers a more efficient, effective and reliable coastal trading licensing regime.
Coastal trading represents 15 per cent of Australia’s freight task, improves resilience during natural disasters when land transport infrastructure is damaged, and improves competition in the domestic freight market. The CTLS is the system used to regulate coastal trading for Australian and foreign-flagged vessels.
The current CTLS is increasingly incompatible with modern IT systems and standards and is about to leave the manufacturer's support lifecycle.
The Department seeks an experienced project manager to represent the operational area in identifying and articulating to IT system developers the CTLS and transferring it to a contemporary platform will improve stability and functionality for coastal trading licence holders.
