This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
NOPSEMA’s Digital Transformation Program involves significant changes to how personal information is handled, triggering mandatory compliance obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Privacy (Australian Government Agencies – Governance) APP Code 2017. A Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) is required for high privacy risk projects, such as the migration of all organisational data to new systems. Given the complexity and scale of this transformation, external expertise and tools are essential to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and embed privacy-by-design principles.
While the engagement involves undertaking a Privacy Impact Assessment, the PIA is directly and intrinsically linked to NOPSEMA’s Digital Transformation Program, which involves:
• Migration of organisational data to new digital platforms and systems
• Changes to digital architectures, data flows, and system integrations
• Assessment of current and future-state digital data handling practices
• ICT risk and assurance activities associated with digital systems
• Assessment of digital data handling, storage, processing, and governance arrangements
• Privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default considerations embedded within digital solution design and implementation
