Tender Description
The purpose of the tender is to commission a suitably qualified principal contractor to design and construct remediation works for TCHHS employee accommodation at Horn Island PHCC accommodation.
TCHHS Employee Accommodation at Ngurapai, situated behind the Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) at 29 Nawie Road, is in a state of degradation due to years of service, and harsh local environmental factors such as high humidity and temperatures, and seasonal monsoonal rainfall.
The accommodation consists of two high set units that have a galvanised sub-floor design consisting of top-hat joists and top-hat or C-section bearers, over square hollow section (SHS) steel posts, on slab on ground. Walls are fibre cement cladding externals with plasterboard lined internals, and the building has a corrugated iron roof on metal trusses. The units are separated by a 200 series concrete block party wall, and the undercroft area is lined with chain link screens.
