Whole of Government SMS Communications

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), under the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), enables a more connected and secure government so that South Australia Government (SAG) agencies can better serve the community. Part of its program of works is to provide agencies with an email to Short Message Services (SMS) solution as a whole of government SMS service.

OCIO is seeking offers of a solution to deliver an effective and efficient email to SMS service across government agencies under the OCIO tenancy, enabling secure, scalable, and cost-effective messaging services.

The procurement objectives are to:

• Secure a supplier with a web-based email to SMS solution that enables agencies to provide communications to internal and external end users.
•  Provide a service with a cost model that allows an increase/decrease in user numbers.
• Maintain operational stability and performance of the SMS solution.

The proposed contract term is for an initial three (3) years, with the option to extend year on year for a further three (3) years, at total of six (6) years (3+1+1+1).
