About the role
The Information and Communications Technology Group (ICTG) is looking for a highly experienced Program and Project Delivery Manager with an impeccable delivery record. The program manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of key projects to achieve the ICT Modernisation and Investment Program’s vision as well as other projects in ICT as required that aim to modernise and improve our business and ICT capabilities, with a business led benefits-first approach. This will include establishing project and program governance, developing the execution strategy and plans, leading procurement and contract management activities, working collaboratively with delivery partners and stakeholders across business and ICT and ensuring delivery of result and outcomes. This is a hands-on delivery role that requires exceptional skills and experiences in program management and delivery.
To succeed in this role, you will have a superior track record of delivering complex ICT programs and projects, ideally in a data and analytics organisation or similar environment. You will be a great communicator, and team player focused on driving a collaborative result focused culture between business, technology, external stakeholders and vendors. You will ideally have at least 5+ years’ experience in leading and managing the delivery of complex programs with a strong focus on achieving business outcomes through transformative change, ensuring buy-in from internal and external stakeholders.
Under limited direction, you will be responsible for:
- Driving and managing a program of work, delivering core ICT capabilities and projects that enable and support business and organisational outcomes and overseeing key projects to ensure the delivery of outcomes and business benefits, while managing scope boundaries, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Leading business change management initiatives, ensuring successful delivery while ensuring business buy-in.
- Establishing and leading teams across various workstreams to ensure seamless execution and achievement of program goals ensuring they are delivered into service.
- Proactively identifying and driving resolution of dependencies, risks and issues across business, technology and vendor work streams to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes and benefits. Communicating impact of dependencies on wider enterprise roadmaps and initiatives.
- Being hands-on, when necessary, actively participating in tasks to ensure project milestones are met and supporting the team in completing critical tasks.
- Developing and providing advice on relevant program and project governance, quality assurance and documentation to senior executives, program board and key stakeholders.
- Effectively liaising and negotiating with relevant stakeholders internally and externally, overcoming obstacles to delivery through collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation.
- Leading, and managing procurements, tenders, and establishing and managing complex contracts resulting from procurement as they relate to program and project delivery.
- Conducting program and project reviews and creating reports with recommendations for executive staff and relevant boards and their members.
- Developing, monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators to provide program success and delivery metrics and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
