Wills Street Pedestrian Overbridge Refurbishment

Tenders are invited for the contract to undertake the refurbishment of the Wills Street Pedestrian Overbridge, located in Ashburton, Canterbury

The scope of contract works includes:

• Traffic management, including pedestrian access
• Working in rail corridor. KiwiRail permits, rail protection and separation/isolation are required.
• Temporary works, access and containment.
• Temporary relocation of the Main Iron Truss adjacent to the bridge for coating refurbishment works
• Repairs to Main truss, in-situ Piers and balustrade ironwork
• Complete recoating of the Main Iron truss, in-situ Iron Piers and Iron balustrade posts
• Replacement of decayed timber members, consisting of corbels, transoms, cross braces, deck planks and select handrail top members
• Augmentation of Timber stringers.
• Resurfacing of the deck and infill
• Replacement of damaged intermediate wires and fixings
• Repair of the damaged pier due to vehicle impact
