Tender Description
Welcome to the University of Sydney Open Tender for Career Services Platform (Project ID: WS2865568134).
The University of Sydney, founded in 1850, is Australia's oldest and one of its most prestigious institutions, renowned for high-quality education and cutting-edge research. With multiple campuses across Sydney and beyond, the University serves a diverse and dynamic community of staff and students.
In recent years, the University has faced growing challenges in delivering a modern, engaging, and scalable digital careers service. Our current fragmented systems demand substantial manual effort from staff and limit our ability to leverage modern technology in delivering personalised, data-driven career support.
The University is seeking a contemporary, unified digital careers and employability platform to enhance student experience, streamline service delivery, and enable a connected, data-informed approach to career development. This investment will modernise our employability infrastructure and support high-quality, personalised, and scalable career services for students and employers.
Our goal is to select, procure, and implement a SaaS solution that uplifts the delivery of career services by:
- Enhancing personalisation and service recommendations for students based on profile attributes, platform behaviours and integrated student level career registration data.
- Enhancing the student experience by improving how students access and engage with appointments, events, and job opportunities.
- Simplifying the ability and lead time for careers staff to configure self-serve learning pathways for students.
- Facilitating skills and career exploration by providing tools that help students identify, understand, and align their skills and interests with potential career pathways.
- Enhance employability preparation by offering capabilities that help students independently build resumes and prepare for interviews.
- Improve data-informed service delivery by increasing the availability and usability of student engagement data and related insights, including connections to career registration information which will be captured by the University.
- Reduce manual workload by improving the automation of data management and reporting across career service activities.
We are currently preparing a detailed scope of requirements and plan to release a 'Request for Tender' (RFT) process in early January 2026.
If you can provide a solution that meets the following mandatory requirements, we encourage you to participate:
- The solution must be a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform capable of meeting the project objectives using existing out-of-the-box functionality without the need for custom product development.
- The solution must provide an open API interface that enables secure and flexible integration with third-party systems, including identity, data, and digital services platforms used by the University.
- The respondent must be the original developer and owner of the SaaS product (e.g. not a reseller), with whom the University will liaise directly for implementation and ongoing support and licensing
- The supplier must demonstrate the capacity and readiness to implement the solution as ready to launch by the end of Q2 2026.
- The supplier must have a proven track record deploying the proposed solution within organisations comparable in scale and complexity to the University of Sydney.
- The supplier's solution must meet the University's Cybersecurity requirements (preferably through compliance with SOC2 Type 2 and/or ISO 27001 accreditation), and adherence to the University's Cybersecurity Framework.
If your organisation meets all the 'must-have' mandatory criteria listed above, we encourage you to register your interest and participate
Please note, if your solution does not meet any of these 'must-have' mandatory requirements, we kindly ask that you refrain from registering your interest.
