Project goals
The goal of the INSW Asset Management Portal project is to procure a qualified service provider to develop version 2 of the Asset Management Portal for Infrastructure NSW. The vision is to deliver a robust, cloud-based system - preferably leveraging the Salesforce platform - to provide timely, reliable, and comprehensive asset management information across the NSW government. This portal aims to enhance the quality, relevance, and timeliness of reporting, supporting data-driven strategic decision-making at senior levels.
Key objectives include:
- Enabling accurate, data-backed advice for asset management.
- Improving governance by systematizing administration in line with the NSW Asset Management Policy.
- Supporting advanced stakeholder and change management processes.
- Maximizing Salesforce capabilities with a focus on configuration over custom code, ensuring scalability and adaptability for future needs.
The project is scheduled for launch by August 2026 to align with policy-driven attestation requirements. This market sounding is intended to assess vendor capability and interest, not as a formal request for quotation.
Scope
The opportunity is for qualified service providers to deliver the next version (Version 2) of the Infrastructure NSW (INSW) Asset Management Portal. The scope includes:
- Design and Implementation: Develop a cloud-based Asset Management Portal, leveraging the Salesforce platform, with a focus on configuration over custom code to ensure scalability and adaptability.
- Data Management: Provide a system that delivers timely, accurate, and comprehensive asset management information (including financial, asset, and capability data) to support high-level, data-driven decision-making across the NSW government.
- Governance and Policy Support: Enable improved governance by systematizing the administration of the NSW Asset Management Policy.
- Stakeholder and Change Management: Incorporate advanced systems to support stakeholder engagement and change management processes.
- Technical and Functional Expertise: Demonstrate experience in delivering similar cloud-based solutions, particularly within the NSW public sector, and provide relevant case studies and references.
- Project Timeline: Be able to deliver the solution by August 2026, aligning with policy-driven attestation requirements.
Suppliers must be fully qualified under the NSW Government procurement scheme 0020 (ICT services scheme) in categories A03 and R01. This market sounding is to assess capability and interest, not a formal request for quotation.
