Disaster Recover Arrangement Works

Mackay Regional Council (the Principal) is establishing a Register of Prequalified Suppliers (ROPS) Panel to support the delivery of Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) works across the region. The purpose of this panel is to ensure the Principal has access to a reliable, responsive, and qualified pool of contractors capable of delivering critical recovery and reconstruction services following natural disasters such as cyclones, floods, and severe weather events.

OBJECTIVE

The key objectives of this panel are to ensure effective disaster recovery by focusing on the following priorities:

• ensure rapid mobilisation of qualified contractors following disaster events;
• restore essential public assets to pre-disaster condition in compliance with DRFA guidelines;
• support local industry participation and deliver value-for-money outcomes; and
• maintain compliance with all legislative, environmental, and cultural heritage requirements.
