Repairs and Upgrade Ramps, Catwalk and Drivers Shelter Construction - RFQ250331

The Emerald Saleyards Double Decker Ramps require repairs and upgrades to the catwalks used for loading and unloading stock onto trucks. At times, cattle trailers do not align correctly with the catwalk gates, which results in operators needing to use alternative methods to access and open trailer gates.

Drivers currently leave the ramp area and drive to the office to collect paperwork, creating additional vehicle movements and affecting overall traffic flow and pedestrian access. This project includes constructing a truck drivers’ shelter between the two double decker ramps to house movement paperwork and streamline operations.

Additionally, two of the body-truck loading ramps require gates to be installed using Council-supplied components, as shown in the attached photos.
