Tender Description

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is undertaking a critical transformation to replace its aging Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The current system no longer meets all the operational demands due to extensive customisations and outdated configurations.

Key limitations include:

  • Integration and data silos: Lack of seamless data integration and end-to-end workflows creates data silos and reduces operational visibility and efficiency.
  • Manual processes: Heavy reliance on manual data entry, spreadsheets and multiple disconnected approval channels increases errors and inefficiencies.
  • Technical debt: Outdated architecture and excessive customisations lead to high maintenance costs and reduced agility.
  • Inability to scale: The legacy system cannot efficiently support PTA’s rapid expansion due to METRONET and the heightened operational demands that will continue as the network grows.
  • Limited data insights: Reporting is fragmented and relies on experience instead of timely, reliable data, limiting the PTA’s ability to focus on analysis and apply expertise effectively.

The PTA is now preparing to approach the market to replace its current system with a modern, unified and extendable ERP platform.

The upcoming procurement will cover the supply, implementation and ongoing managed services for the new ERP solution.

The ERP solution must support the PTA’s core functions, including:

  • Finance and accounting
  • Planning and budgeting
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Supply chain, inventory and warehousing

The solution should also be scalable and capable of supporting future modules, such as:

  • Enterprise asset management
  • Human capital management, including rostering and payroll
