Tender Description

Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) seeks to engage a qualified maintenance contractor for Stormwater system services and ongoing maintenance within the Sydney Olympic Park (SOP).

Project goals

Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) has an extensive stormwater system comprised of the following assets, which require maintenance services:

  • Over 38 km of subsurface stormwater trunk mains;
  • Over 5,500 lineal metres of pavement grated drains;
  • Over 2400 stormwater pits;
  • Over 34 fixed stormwater pipe security grills;
  • Over 1300 lineal meters of formed open drains [Newington Armory];
  • 41 gross pollutant traps;
  • Various open swale drains, outlet culverts and pits
  • 23 Water level plates and tide level gauges
  • 12 containment booms

Scope

The successful contractor will be required to undertake the following for the above asset list, including but not limited to:

  • Routine / preventative maintenance of the Stormwater system maintenance in compliance with statutory, manufacturer and contract requirements and to best industry practice.
  • Supply all materials, plant, equipment, consumables and all associated labour to complete all the following routine/breakdown maintenance
  • Perform Stormwater system routine maintenance, reporting and auditing of the assets for safety, compliance, continuous operation and function.
  • Conduct periodic condition assessment to facilitate the development of future capital works programs.
  • Perform environmental activities as required by SOPA Environmental.
  • Provide expert advice in finding optimal solutions to complex problems that may arise
  • Continuous improvement to access to new technologies
