State of the Hauraki Gulf 2026 Report

This procurement is to produce the Hauraki Gulf Forum State of the Gulf report. Auckland Council (Community Directorate/ Environmental Services Department) is the host organisation for the wider Hauraki Gulf Form and as such administers the forums budget and provides administrative and procurement support.

The State of the Gulf report is a statutory requirement.

Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Act 2000

s.17(1) (g) to prepare and publish, once every 3 years, a report on the state of the environment in the Hauraki Gulf, including information on progress towards integrated management and responses to the issues identified in accordance with paragraph (a): to prepare a list of strategic issues, determine a priority for action on each issue, and regularly review that list.
