EOI - The Regal Theatre Precinct Redevelopment

The City of Burnside invites Expressions of Interest from Registrants for the redevelopment of the Regal Theatre Precinct.

Scope:

• Upgraded stage, equipment and new changerooms for performers;
• Reconfigured foyer area including candy bar and office, with improved accessibility and restored heritage features;
• Vibrant outdoor public space with dining, paving, landscaping, trees and ambient lighting;
• Restoration and conversion of the cottage into a multi-purpose facility including kitchen, storage and toilets;
• New leasable shopfront for retail or café use;
• DDA-compliant toilets for patrons and performers;
• Improved parking, wider paths and accessible ramps.

Following the closing of this REOI, all submissions will be evaluated and a shortlist prepared. Those shortlisted will be sent a detailed tender specification as part of a Select Tender process and invited to provide a formal submission.

Please note that a Development Application is currently being assessed, and funding finalised. Approval is expected in February 2026. No work can commence until Council advises that Development Approval has been granted.
