Independent Delivery Assurance

The Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet is seeking an experienced Independent Delivery Assurance Lead to provide independent oversight, health checks, and governance assurance.

The role will:

• Develop and implement a Delivery Assurance Framework aligned with departmental and relevant whole-of-government standards.
• Conduct independent assurance reviews across key delivery dimensions: scope, schedule, cost, risk, governance, and benefits.
• Produce and present assurance reports and recommendations to the Executive Director.
• Monitor delivery progress against baseline plans and identify early indicators of delivery or governance risk.
• Assess alignment between project artefacts and delivery objectives.
• Facilitate readiness and health checks prior to major decision points, procurement gates, or releases.
• Support quality assurance of delivery documentation, board packs, and decision papers.
• Maintain independence from the delivery teams while collaborating closely to ensure findings are constructive and actionable.
• NV1 minimum required for this role. PM&C will not upgrade clearances.
