Detailed Design of Local Traffic Upgrades

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters invites an open tender for the provision of detailed designs of local traffic upgrades.

The Council has identified a number of local traffic roads that require upgrade works to generally improve traffic management, safety, and accessibility for all road users.

Several roundabouts and other intersections in St Peters, Royston Park and Felixstow are in need of re-design to allow for user friendly approaches for cyclists and motorists. These projects have been grouped as Parcel A.

A series of intersection upgrades and traffic management projects, such as emu and wombat crossings and bikeway upgrades, in Kensington, Hackney and St Morris are also in need of design. These projects have been grouped as Parcel B.

The Council is seeking the provision of detailed designs for the two Parcels. As such, a procurement process will be undertaken in order to appoint design consultant capable of delivering the scope of works associated with each of the Parcels.

The Scope of Works may include, but is not limited to:

• Undertake required investigative works to inform design.
• Develop preliminary drawings & specifications.
• Develop detailed design & documentation.

Consultants may submit tenders for one or both Parcels. Each tender will be evaluated individually on its merits.

The Council reserves the right to appoint one Tenderer for both Parcels, or different Tenderers for Parcel A and Parcel B.
