Tallegar Creek Causeway Upgrade

Coonamble Shire Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and resourced civil contractors for the delivery of the Tallegar Creek Causeway Upgrade on Quambone Road, approximately 27 km from Coonamble.

The works include, but are not limited to:

•  Removal and disposal of the existing culvert and floodway structure.
•  Installation of new pre-cast reinforced concrete box culverts.
•  Construction of cast in-situ components including base slab, aprons, cut-off walls and headwalls.
•  Earthworks, formation shaping and reconstruction of road approaches.
•  Placement and compaction of subbase and DGB20 stabilised pavement.
•  Preparation and application of a bituminous spray seal over the new culvert and reconstructed road approaches.
•  Installation of regulatory and warning signage.
•  Site establishment, traffic management and final disestablishment.
•  Vegetation reinstatement and rehabilitation of all disturbed areas.

This upgrade is being delivered under the Infrastructure Betterment Program (IBF), jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments, to improve the resilience, safety and accessibility of the road network during severe wet weather and flood events.

All works are to be undertaken in accordance with Transport for NSW specifications, relevant Australian Standards, and Council's quality, environmental, and safety management requirements.

The successful contractor will be required to provide all labour, plant, materials, traffic management, and ancillary services necessary for completion of the project.
