Supply of Toiletry Kits for the Private Inpatient Incentive Program

⁠⁠⁠South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) requires the provision of pre-assembled toiletry kits for distribution to private inpatients across its hospital network. These kits form part of the advertised incentives under the Private Patient Incentive Program (PPIP), which was established in 2004 to encourage eligible patients to utilise their private health insurance when admitted to SMHS hospitals.

The PPIP supports SMHS’s broader objective of enhancing healthcare delivery through reinvestment of revenue generated from private health insurance claims. As part of this initiative, toiletry kits are provided to private inpatients to support a consistent and positive patient experience.

Toiletry kits are distributed across multiple SMHS facilities, including Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital, Rockingham General Hospital and Peel Health Campus. Estimated monthly requirements across these sites total up to 1,800 kits a month, with individual site volumes subject to variation based on inpatient activity.
