Lighting and Electrical Works - Lapstone Hill Tunnel Activation

Electrical Infrastructure

• Supply and installation of conduits, junction boxes (IP68 gel-displacement type), and distribution boards.

• Supply and installation of perforated cable tray. Cable tray to be fixed to the ceiling via booker rods into mortar joints only.

• Provision of weatherproof, UV-stable cabling with IP68-rated penetrations and cable glands.

• Installation of remote LED control gear (IP68 rated) and associated power supplies.

• Provision of managing the connection of the existing switchboard to mains.

Lighting Systems

• Installation of tunnel functional lighting (BT1 battens).

• Installation of LED flexible strip luminaires (LED1) to up light tunnel ceiling curvature.

• Installation of heritage-style wall-mounted luminaires (WL1) at tunnel portals.

• Installation of adjustable spotlights (SP1) aimed at tunnel wall recesses.

• Installation of specified luminaire products as detailed in EL-201, including ERCO TESIS inground units (noting Condition 2: inground lights not approved under heritage consent).

Deliverables

• Completion of all works in accordance with Civille’s technical specification and BMCC requirements.

• Testing, commissioning, and certification of electrical systems.

• Provision of operation manuals.

• Compliance with all relevant Australian Standards, heritage approval conditions, conservation management plan, statement of heritage impacts report and Council policies.
