Geehi Dam Road CH24.5km Stabilisation Works Project

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) seeks to engage a suitable contractor to undertake civil works on the Geehi Dam Road Chainage (CH) 24.5km to stabilise the road structure.

Scope:

The Project Scope of Work includes the following:

1. A range of enabling, environmental protection and health and safety controls to be implemented.

2. Mobilise to site and establish site office, traffic control and environmental and safety controls.

3. Removal of vegetation within the works area and disposal in the vicinity of the site where possible, and if not, disposal external to KNP.

4. Excavation of temporary access track to the bottom of the site.

5. Preparation of base and slope for rock fill buttress and removal of unsuitable material to an approved stockpile site external to KNP.

6. Construction of flow dissipation structure and rock buttress.

7. Upgrade the surface drainage at road level by installation of concrete lined surface drains and two new culverts with outlet points at the crest of the new rockfill buttress.

8. Construct concrete lined drains down the face of the rock buttress to the flow dissipation structure at the base of the slope.

9. Rehabilitate the site and surrounds, and areas of disturbance.

10. Repair road surface.

11. Demobilisation and Project Closeout as per Preliminaries and other relevant schedules.
