Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠OPPORTUNITY:

UTS is seeking to establish a contract for the provision of supply and ongoing services of an in-situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometer (DEMS) that can detect the gas generated or consumed by energy systems such as lithium-ion batteries, sodium ion batteries, metal air batteries and electrocatalysis. The instrument is intended to enable analysis of the gas evolution in different stages of energy systems in real time, to obtain the distribution of gas generation or consumption with voltage change during electrochemical reactions. This is further defined in the Statement of Requirement of this RFT. The successful tenderer is also expected to provide supporting services, in coordination with UTS, in a timely manner to ensure sufficient uptime of the equipment.

Compliant and competitive offers for the DEMS are expected to be comprising of the following components:

  • Quadrupole mass spectrometer
  • Membrane inlet system
  • Electrocatalysis DEMS cell
  • 2x Battery module (Swagelok-type)
  • 2x Soft Pack battery module

RFT OBJECTIVES:

The objectives for this acquisition are:

  • Ensuring safety of UTS staff/students, enhancing efficiencies and delivering quality of service to UTS;
  • Ensure the best overall value for money outcome for UTS. This includes assessment of both compliance with mandatory requirements and performance against weighted evaluation criteria and reduction the total life cost of the system and associated deliverables;
  • To secure professional ongoing warranty, maintenance and other support services for the Systems;
  • Effective management of risks;
  • Compliance with all applicable laws, standards, codes, and policies;
  • On time delivery;

UTS is not bound to accept the lowest priced submission or any part of a submission and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Late, verbal, faxed, mailed, or emailed submissions will not be accepted.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS:

Completed responses are to be submitted via the electronic tender box before the nominated cut-off date and time. Submission upload that commences before the cut-off time, but is completed after the cut-off time will be deemed unsuccessful by the system. Ensure sufficient time for the submission upload in regard to the internet speed, the file/s size, and other respondent's system/s protocols. Respondents will receive a Successful Submission Receipt timed and dated upon completion.
