ABOUT THE CITY OF COFFS HARBOUR (City):
Coffs Harbour is positioned halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. Coffs Harbour is a thriving regional coastal city of approximately 85,000 people and enjoys a unique lifestyle created by its geography and climate. Nestled between coastal slopes of the Great Dividing Range and the 80 kilometres of golden beaches that form its boundaries Coffs Harbour has gained a reputation as a dynamic and rapidly expanding economic hub.
ABOUT THIS REQUEST FOR TENDER (RFT):
The City of Coffs Harbour seeking tenders from suitably experienced and qualified contractors to procure a duplicate water main. This tender is released under City contract CON00660 Emerald to Mullaway 250/280 Water Main Duplication Stage 1 which the City intends to award to a single contractor. However, the City retains the right to make the tender award to more than one contractor where it deems appropriate. The award of tender will require the contractor to be bound by the Citys MW21 conditions of contract a copy of which is supplied in the RFT document package.
NON-MANDATORY SITE VISIT
As part of this RFT, the City is offering the opportunity of a site visit to any proponent which can be organised by contacting the Nominated Contact below (see also section 1.5 of the MW21 Volume 1 document). Although the site visit is not mandatory the City does recommend that proponents to take advantage of this opportunity to fully inform themselves of the site.
REGISTRATION:
RFT documents may be obtained after registration on which is free of charge.
ENQUIRIES:
RFT enquiries should be directed to Mr Steve Bray Project Manager via the online forum prior to 4pm AEDST on Friday 12 December 2025.
SUBMISSIONS:
Completed RFT responses are to be submitted via the electronic tender box only, using the editable MS Word document supplied in the RFT document package.
CLOSING DATE AND TIME:
This RFT closes at 10.00am AEDST on Wednesday 17 December 2025, and RFT submissions must be fully uploaded by this time as the portal cuts off at exactly 10.00am AEDST.
The City is not bound to accept the lowest priced RFT all or any part of the RFT and reserves the right to conduct the RFT process and select the successful respondent as it sees most advantageous.
The City staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal, faxed or emailed submissions will not be accepted. Canvassing of Councillors and members of City staff other than the contact detailed above by a tenderer may render their tender submission ineligible for evaluation.
