IT Strategy Development

Coal LSL is endeavoring to transform its organisation with several multi-year programs of work designed around the organisational strategic priorities. Information Technology is a supporting capability to a number of these priorities. Ensuring that the technology function (people, process, tools & data) can support organisational outcomes, and that business-process led initiatives implement compliant, sustainable and effective solutions is key to enduring success.

Key challenges:

• Aligning with Corporate Strategy, relevant legislation and government policy, and Industry better practice, within a dynamic environment, to inform decisions, priority and investment,
• Identify future initiative technology requirements to inform possible alignment, leveraging integrations and seeking to better exploit automation,
• Balancing the benefits of operational savings generated through transformation with investment required to uplift technology to support new services and solutions; and
• Suitability of the technology structure, capacity and investment considering recommended frameworks, planned/in-flight initiatives and current operational demands whilst building capability aligned with benchmark public sector maturity levels.

What's needed:

• Coal LSL requires an IT strategy, operating model and roadmap that addresses and connects org-wide IT demands, establishes realistic maturity targets, quantifies structural (resource) requirements, prioritises competing initiatives, and provides the business case to secure multi-year investment approval

Coal LSL is seeking an independent partner to lead the development of the strategy and supporting material.

Initial contract duration: 8-12 weeks per recommendation in the submission
