Liverpool Fishway Upgrade Project

Removal of debris and upgrade works to the existing fishway, with construction of a downstream tailwater weir.

Project goals

To provide a much-improved passage for fish to the river upstream of the existing weir in line with best practice as defined by all relevant legislation and NSW Fisheries published and readily available guidelines and specifications.

Scope

At the existing Liverpool Weir, as described in the Scope of Works:

• the clean-out and upgrade of the existing fishway structure,
• the testing of water flows over the weir and fishway, design and installation of a diversion sill on the weir structure,
• the design and construction of a tailwater control weir.

A non-mandatory pre-tender meeting is proposed for:

• Date: Wednesday 3/12/2025
• Time: 11am
• Location: Onsite at the Liverpool Fishway - Bill Morrison Park, at the end of Haigh Street, off the A34 Newbridge Road
