Tender Description
Douglas Shire Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to collect leachate on an as required basis from the Killaloe Transfer Station and Landfill and cart this leachate to the Port Douglas Wastewater Treatment Plant for disposal.
11,332,266 litres of leachate was collected and carted in 2024/2025 financial year.
Leachate carting during dry periods is generally limited to 1 day per week but can be as often as 5 days per week when rainfall increases.
