RPQS Provision of Audio Visual Services

Council requires the use of a variety of Audio and Visual Technician services at various locations throughout the Shire.

Contractors may be called upon for intermittent engagements at various times throughout the term of the agreement by both Council and Community groups.

Council does not guarantee any work or continuity of work.

Work will be awarded at the discretion of Council or Community groups on an ‘as required’ and ‘best value for money’ basis.

2.1. Service Delivery

• Act as the primary point of contact for all AV-related requirements, ensuring excellence in service delivery to hirers, performers, and stakeholders.

• Assist Council and venue hirers in coordinating technical and production services to meet established customer service standards.

• Provide setup and operation of sound, lighting, AV, and staging equipment in line with industry standards.

• Ensure events run smoothly and efficiently through proactive support and troubleshooting.

• Assist with general venue operations, including room and seating setups as required.

• Maintain a clean and tidy environment in technical and back-of-house areas, adhering to good housekeeping practices (excluding general cleaning duties such as bathrooms).

2.2. Technical Operations & Equipment Management

• Supervise and assist with rigging, bump-in/bump-out of productions, and back-of-house maintenance.

• Maintain all technical and production equipment, including conducting or participating in annual cleaning, inspection, and minor maintenance.

• Provide technical advice to enhance event delivery and support project development.

• Ensure adequate human and equipment resources are available for Council and external events.
