NGN Identifying, Understanding and Meeting the Yield Potential of Faba Beans in Northern NSW
Tender ID: 600728
Tender Details
Tender Description
Summary
This investment will research the key factors affecting the yield of Faba beans in Northern NSW. Faba beans are an important rotation crop and provide residual benefits to soil health, however it is common to witness considerable yield variations within fields and on farms. These limitations can severely impact the gross margins of local growers. This project will assess optimal yields across different locations and examine the factors linked to reduced production. By identifying these constraints, growers can implement strategies to mitigate their impact. The study will contain experiments conducted over three years based in Northern NSW.
Offer period
Offers will remain open for acceptance by the GRDC for a period of 6 months after the Closing Time.
