North Metropolitan Health Service - Dental Health Services (DHS) requires the provision of suitably qualified Oral Health professionals in locations where Dental Health Services’ clinicians are not available through recruitment challenges or as a result of planned and unplanned absences and where continuity of service is required to meet DHS’ operational plan requirements and obligations.
The use of agency dental staff to provide interim solutions to service interruption is seen as an essential part of DHS being able to meet operational requirements. Agency dental staff placements provide short and medium term service provision solutions while DHS recruits to the location or organises staff deployments into the area to cover absences.
