Demolition of 77 Bulcock Street, Caloundra

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to manage, supervise and undertake the demolition and make good activities required to demolish the existing two-level Sunshine Coast Council building at 77 Bulcock Street, Caloundra.

These works are Stage 1 of a multi-stage upgrade which will ultimately transform the site of the existing building into a new open plan Town Square in the centre of Caloundra.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

•  Disconnection of utility services to the building
•  Controlled removal of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) and other hazardous material
•  Staged demolition of the existing facility
•  Preparation of subsoil including cut and fill as required
•  Turfing and landscaping of the area on completion of demolition

The successful contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour to perform all necessary operations, to ensure delivery of the scope of works associated with this Contract.

It is imperative that works are carried out in a professional and safe manner that will minimise impact on pedestrians, traffic and visitors to the area. Pedestrian access must be maintained around the works.

This is a lump sum contract with an anticipated commencement of early March 2026, with contract completion required by 30 June 2026.
