Southside Pool Heater Replacement

The 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre (Southside Pool) in Rockhampton is a public aquatic facility featuring a 50m Olympic-sized heated pool, a 25m heated pool, a diving pool, a water play area, and a learn-to-swim pool.

Currently, the Centre operates a Solar Wise 265kW heat pump (Model: EXC-3452-3268-4C) to heat the 25m outdoor pool and adjacent dive pool. However, this system is now at end of life and consistently fails to maintain the desired water temperature.

The Centre requires a dependable and energy-efficient heating solution capable of maintaining a consistent water temperature of 27°C throughout the year. Thermal pool blankets are used daily to assist in heat retention. The new system must be able to heat both pools simultaneously and offer future flexibility to split heating between the two pools, allowing for independent control via separate heating units.
