International Carbon Credits Tender

The Council of the City of Sydney ("Council") invites tenders to supply cost-effective international carbon offsets of high integrity in accordance with this Request for Tender.

The contract term will be for 3 years (FY26-FY28), with an optional 3-year extension (FY29-FY31).

Purchased annually, these credits will offset the City's annual emissions and must meet the eligible offset unit criteria as defined by the most recent Australian Government Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard for Organisations for the purchase year. Currently this includes a vintage year later than 2012.

Further, only the following offset units will be accepted under this tender:

• Verified Emissions Reductions (VERs) issued by the Gold Standard.
• Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) issued by the Verified Carbon Standard.

The City's preference is to contract with an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisation. This is not mandatory - submissions will be evaluated.

The City will assess all tender submissions based on value for money considering both qualitative criteria and overall cost.

Tenderers must submit tenders in the manner required by this RFT.
