Tender Description
The City of Sydney ("the City") invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of quantity surveying services for the Sydney Square Renewal project in accordance with this request.
Originally completed in the 1970s, Sydney Square - the open space between Sydney Town Hall, St Andrews Cathedral, Town Hall House, St Andrews House, and George Street - has reached the end of its lifecycle and now requires a comprehensive finishes upgrade. This project will deliver a revitalised public domain, enhancing one of the City's most significant civic spaces. The renewal will focus on paving, waterproofing, lighting upgrades, furniture, and landscaping, while maintaining Sydney Square's core functionality and civic role.
The City is currently engaging a head design consultant (HDC), including sub-consultant technical design team, to commence designs for the Sydney Square Renewal.
The City is seeking to engage a suitably qualified quantity surveyor to develop cost plans as the design works progress, at the various stages of the construction documentation, and provide the City with construction-phase support for the assessment of variations and progress claims.
In addition, the quantity surveyor will provide quantitative material measurements for the HDC to undertake embodied carbon measurements at numerous project milestones.
Tenderers must submit tenders in the manner required by this document.

The City encourages First Nations People owned and operated businesses, Local SME, Start-ups as well as social enterprises (including Cooperatives) to work with us and respond to this opportunity.
