Housing Preference Investigations

⁠⁠⁠The Department is seeking to engage a consultant with relevant research expertise or practical experience in housing preference analysis. The Housing Preference Investigation aims to:

• Understand what matters most to residents in Greater Adelaide when making housing choices.
• Identify the trade-offs people are willing to make when affordability or location constraints apply.
• Determine whether there is misalignment between the housing people want and the options currently available in Greater Adelaide.

The high-level objective for the Investigation is to:

• Provide a robust evidence base on the housing preferences of the Greater Adelaide population.
• Assist the Department in identifying where to prioritise policy reform and housing investment.
