Total Mobility Operators 2026-29

This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) invites Small Passenger Service Transport Operators and Community Vehicle Trusts to offer on-demand door-to-door services in Canterbury. These services are for the public, registered with and approved by Canterbury Regional Council for Total Mobility Services. Canterbury Regional Council is looking for Small Passenger Transport Operators with Small Passenger Service Licenses that can provide the Total Mobility Scheme in one or multiple locations throughout Canterbury.

In partnership with Central government, Canterbury Regional Council subsidises the Total Mobility scheme. This scheme assists eligible people to access appropriate transport to meet their daily needs and enhance their community participation. This is an increasingly popular service, with more than 14,000 people currently eligible for subsidised door-to-door trips.
