Tender Description

Bay of Plenty Regional Council (BOPRC) invites tenders from suitably qualified construction contractors for Whakatāne Project Future Proof – Stage 3C (Mātaatua Reserve).

Scope of Works includes:

  •  Construction methodology to reinstate flood protection to required levels during forecast flood risk.
  •  Full compliance with the Contaminated Site Management Plan (CSMP) and resource consent conditions, including erosion and sediment control.
  •  Establishment of working areas, service protection, survey setout, temporary access, environmental controls, and traffic management.
  •  Protection and management of Pohutukawa trees.
  •  Stopbank works: topsoil stripping, certified fill placement in compacted lifts, shaping and compaction to design profile.
  •  Removal and reinstatement of cobblestone footpath.
  •  Topsoiling and site reinstatement.
  •  Public interface management to minimise disruption.
  •  Submission of as-built drawings and all required documentation for compliance.
