BMEF Roller Shutter Portals Construction and Installation

TasRail is seeking a suitably qualified and capable engineering fabrication company to undertake work to construct and install steel portal frames, Flashing and Hood covers to aid in the installation of new roller doors at the BMEF shed port of Burnie.

The work also includes the construction and installation of a device to retain door 2. Engineering drawings are provided and the awarded contractor will be responsible for timely construction and installation of all structure, providing assistance to the Door manufacture as needed allowing for the measuring of portals to establish the exact door size prior to ordering.

It should be noted that the contractor will be required to add an adjustable soft edge on the bottom of the hood covers to aid in minimising the gap between the door and hood. The entire structure is to be flashed back to the building whilst providing access to the motor, gearbox and brakes to allow for serving.
