FRRE Browns Creek Pump Station & Inlet Screen - D&C - Expression of Interest

The Flood Restoration Portfolio (FRP) is focused on enhancing the flood resilience of Lismore, by restoring and upgrading the existing flood infrastructure such as flood pumps, flood gates and urban stormwater channels used to expedite the removal of stormwater during flood events.

Through the program, Lismore City Council are improving the reliability of Lismore’s levee system, which will allow us to keep the community evacuation routes open as long as possible, whilst limiting stormwater damage during events where floodgates are closed.

The purpose of the project is to construct a new-pump station near to the existing pump station, delivering a total combined pumping capacity of 20 m³/s. The new works shall be constructed off-line, allowing the existing pump station to remain operational for the majority of the construction period.

The Contractor shall be the Principal Contractor for all design and construction activities. The contractor is responsible for all design investigations, detailed design elements to achieve Issued for Construction (IFC) design, commissioning and testing of the new stormwater flood pump station.
