Tender Description
Flood mitigation earthworks and civil construction to reduce potential future flood damage to the community.
Simplified parts are:
1) Primary containment measures. Construct a reverse flow channel with one sided bund where required. Located parallel to Kingi Road boundary and within KiwiRail property. Includes management of earthworks, erosion/silt control, and contaminated soils.
2) Secondary containment measures. Construct a bund on the opposite side of the boundary to protect properties. Create a defined outlet by lowering private driveway past Marae building and form in concrete. Clear out existing swale.
3) Finishing. Rock rip rap, scour protection, fencing, landscaping.
