Kings Beach Surf Life Saving Facility Redevelopment

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a suitably qualified Principal Contractor for the works associated with the demolition and construction of the new Surf Life Saving (SLS) facility.

Council intends to demolish the existing structure and portion of surrounding parkland to enable the construction of a new facility. Additionally, northern and southern swales will be constructed to manage overland flow from the Ormonde Terrace side.

The Kings Beach Surf Life Saving Facility is located at Ormonde Terrace, Kings Beach QLD, 4551 about 100 km North of Brisbane. The successful contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour to perform all necessary operations, to ensure delivery of the scope of works associated with this Contract.

It is imperative that works are carried out in a professional and safe manner that will minimise impact on pedestrians, traffic and visitors to the area. Pedestrian access, coastal path connectivity, and any necessary detours must be maintained at all times.

This is a lump sum contract with an anticipated commencement of April 2026, with contract completion required by November 2026.
