Kings Beach Saltwater Pool - Surface Renewal

Tenders are invited for the Kings Beach Saltwater Pool Surface Renewal Project.

The facility includes a 25m sea water pool, a wading area, disability access ramp and a children's spray park (water fountain).

Council is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Commercial Pool Builder to complete this project as detailed within the Tender suite.

Works generally include but are not limited to the following:

•  Removal of the existing finishes, surface preparation, Pebblecrete supply and installation and waterline and delineation tile supply and installation, resealing of all joints within the sea water pool as specified within the supporting design documents.
•  Testing and Commissioning
•  Certifications including Form 16 and test results.
•  As constructed drawings and O&Ms.
•  Removal from site of all spoil and unsuitable material.
•  Any rectification of damage to surrounding areas etc. from site works.

This is a lump sum Contract with an anticipated commencement of late April 2026, after the Easter School Holidays and with completion required by early-June 2025, before the June/ July School Holidays. Works must be generally undertaken in a manner that minimises the impact on pool users.

The works to be performed under this Contract include the provision of all materials, plant, labour, testing and the performance of all operations of whatever kind necessary for the complete and proper supply and installation of the pool resurfacing and equipotential bonding to the standards and quality specified.

All test results and certification are required at time of handover to enable immediate repossession to the pool operator.
