TVNZ seeks quotations for the supply and implementation of Broadcast Headend Compression Infrastructure and related services. The infrastructure will underpin the delivery of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), Direct-to-Home (DTH) services, and live streaming. This project is a critical step in replacing end-of-life components within our current environment and ensuring continuity of service for millions of viewers.
Proposed solutions must provide a robust, scalable architecture capable of supporting multiple concurrent channels and delivering high-quality content to both national and international audiences. Reliability and resilience are paramount, with multiple layers of redundancy required to safeguard against service interruptions.
TVNZ is open to solutions deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or as a hybrid model, provided they meet stringent performance and security standards.
Respondents must demonstrate proven experience in delivering live broadcast infrastructure at scale.
The RFQ contains a Pre-Condition which must be met to enable the Quotation to be considered.
TVNZ is planning for full system deployment and functionality by March 2026.
