RFT - Main Building Contractor for Building 2 - Create Outdoor Learning Area at Te Kura-ā-iwi o Whakatupuranga Rua Mano, Ōtaki, Kāpiti Coast

The kura is keen to deliver a project creating a covered outdoor learning space to the northern frontage of Building 2.

It will allow a variety of play based learning and health activities to be delivered in all weather conditions. Located adjacent to the junior classrooms it will allow for good sightlines for teaching and will aid curriculum delivery.

The structure will be a single pitched lean to attachment comprising of a timber post and roof framing solution.

Timber slated screens will increase the level of weather protection.

The Board has also requested separate and optional costs to introduce a raised timber decked floor to soften the walkway and learning space.
